The orographic system is shaped in a northwest-southeast direction with a succession of parallel aligned mountain ranges giving rise to an excellent representation of the relief of Appalachia, deserving of its recognition as a Geopark by Unesco.

The final objective of this Territorial Plan is the adaptation of the urban planning in accordance with the current LOTUS regulations.

  • To this end, the following aspects of the area have been studied in detail:

  • Analysis of the territorial structure.

  • The current land cover.

  • Its environmental and heritage values.

  • The state of the current planning.

New developments are proposed for the new needs, protection of heritage and incorporation of sustainability criteria with a gender perspective and the development of strategic actions. All of this by establishing a simplified regulatory framework.
